Accessibility

An accessible Web is essential for equal opportunities for people with disabilities. It may also benefitbenefits others, such as older people with changing abilities due to aging.

Accessible websites also tend to be more simple to use, and are more likely to display correctly when using screens of a particular high or low resolutions. For example, when using a 21" wide screen monitor, digital TV or a mobile device web pages may look very different to those that the designer envisaged.

The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) provides Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Simbiosi has experience in applying accessibility guidelines, techniques, and tools to ensure that we design accessible systems. We also have experience in including people with disabilities in the web development process.
